The training focuses on the basic controlling activities of a project.
Based on a detailed project management plan (including project charter, the scope of work, schedule and cost planning, etc.) for an example project typical controlling activities are simulated.
The underlying case study with 3 sub-projects also simulates the coordination of interfaces and other coordination aspects (e.g. schedule synchronization, balancing of resources) of several (sub) projects in a more complex project environment.

- You will be able to apply best practices for project controlling activities like Integrated Change Control, Issue and Risk handling and Earned Value Management.
- You develop an understanding of the effort required for controlling a project and learn what the focus should be.
- You understand how to integrate the controlling activities in projects with subprojects and subcontractors .
- You get to know tricks, pitfalls, and problems of integrated project control.
We recommend that you attend the course „Project Definition & Planning“ prior to this course, as both courses use the same case study with predefined planning documents.
The training requires at least 3 participants and is limited to a maximum of 9 participants.
Experience in projects – ideally as a (sub-)project manager is helpful, but not a must.
