The Project Management Professional (PMP^®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI^®) is a classic among project management certifications. Initiated in the 1960s as a collection of project management best practices, these have been compiled in the “PMBoK Guide” since then and are continuously improved. The standard thus incorporates many years of project management practice and provides a practical structuring aid and toolset for projects of very different types and environments: from simple to very complex, from predictable (predictive) to agile. The exam is demanding and certifies both the theoretical knowledge of best practices and their application in practice throughout the entire process.
